COER University, formerly known as Roorkee College of Engineering also called College of Engineering Roorkee, is a private university established in 1998 by the Seth Roshan Lal Jain Trust. It was the first private engineering college in Roorkee. COER received 'University' status from the Government of Uttarakhand in 2021 and was initially named University of Engineering & Technology Roorkee (UETR); in 2023, UETR was renamed COER University. COER University is located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, and is recognised by UGC and AICTE, and is further approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the Bar Council of India (BCI), with NAAC accreditation and membership of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
