YCMOU has an organized examination system for all their programs. Performance of students is evaluated by means of end-term examinations and internal evaluations. Examinations are held as per the academic calendar of the institution and results are declared online upon completion of the evaluation process.

YCMOU conducts admissions in two sessions every year the first one in January and and the second one in July. Majority of the Certificate, Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate courses allow applications during the admission process.
