

Birla Institute of Applied Sciences was founded in 1969. It was founded as a result of the vision of Shri B. M. Birla, and it started operations as a Center of the Birla Institute of Scientific Research (BISR). Located in Bhimtal, Nainital, this institute lies only 19 km from Kathgodam railway station, which is along the Haldwani-Almora Road. On a 20-acre area, the Birla Institute of Applied Sciences campus is situated at 1, 370 meters above sea level. From August 2024, BIAS Bhimtal started offering MCA with a capacity of 30 students, along with the BCA degree with a seat capacity of 60 students.
