JEE Main 2026

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main Result 2026 Session 2 on its official platforms today. Candidates can now check their JEE Main 2026 scorecard, percentile, and All India Rank (AIR) by logging in with their application number and password. The JEE Main result 2026 download link is available on jeemain.nta.nic.in, ntaresults.nic.in, and can also be accessed via DigiLocker and the UMANG app/website.

Candidates who qualify for the JEE Main 2026 exam become eligible for admission to NITs, MNITs, IIITs and other engineering college. Similarly, candidates with high JEE Main score can apply for JEE Advanced exam 2026.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result on April 20 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can check and download their JEE Main 2026 scorecard by logging in with their application number and password. Around 11.23 lakh candidates appeared for the Session 2 exam this year. The result includes key details such as percentile scores, All India Rank (AIR), and cutoff percentile for JEE Advanced 2026 eligibility. Qualified candidates can now proceed with the next steps, including JEE Advanced and JoSAA counselling for admissions.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 City Intimation Slip

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 city intimation slip has been released on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can download it using their application number and password. The slip provides advance details about the allotted exam city and date, helping candidates plan their travel in time. However, it does not include the exam centre address, which will be available with the admit card 3–4 days before the exam. As per NTA, Paper 1 will be held on April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8, while Paper 2 is scheduled for April 7, 2026.

JEE Main Counselling 2026

JoSAA conducts the centralised online counselling process for admission to participating IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced ranks. JoSAA helps in admission into 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 38 GFTIs. The IITs accept JEE Advanced ranks for admission and JEE Main ranks for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. 

Candidates need to visit the JoSAA portal for registration and fill in their desired college and course choices. Candidates can check the below table for JEE Main Counselling 2026:

  1. 1. Registration: Candidates register on the official JoSAA portal using their eligible credentials and complete the counselling form.
  2. 2. Choice Filling: Candidates select and arrange their preferred courses and institutes and lock their choices before the deadline.
  3. 3. Seat Allotment: JoSAA allocates seats based on candidates’ ranks, category, preferences, and seat availability.
  4. 4. Online Reporting: Candidates with an allotted seat complete the required online formalities, including:
    • Paying the required seat acceptance fee
    • Choosing Freeze, Float, or Slide
    • Uploading the required documents
    • Responding to queries raised during document verification, if required
  5. CSAB Counselling 2026

    Candidates who do not secure a seat through JoSAA counselling can participate in the CSAB Special Counselling. It provides another opportunity to get admission to participating NITs, IIITs, and other institutes through vacant seats. The CSAB counselling process is conducted online through the official website, csab.nic.in.

JEE Main 2026 Application Form

JEE Main 2026 application process is conducted entirely online on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. In order to submit the application form successfully, the candidates will have to fill in personal and education details. To fill out and submit the JEE Main session 2 application form accurately, follow the steps outlined below:

Step 1: Visit the official website ( jaemain.nta.nic.in)

Step 2: Click on New Candidate Registration

Step 3: Fill in the basic details, which include name, parents' names, email ID, mobile number, and address on JEE Main Session 2 form

Step 4: Complete the registration process and then log in to fill in the application form 

Step 5: Fill in the educational details (Class 10 & 12), the category, the choice of papers (B.Tech / B.Arch / B.Plan), and the choice of cities for examination

Step 6: Upload scanned images (photo, signature, and the Class 10 certificate) on JEE Main session 2 registration portal

Step 7: Upload category certificates (if applicable) - SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD

Step 8: Pay the JEE Main Session 2 application fee using debit/credit card/UPI/net banking

Step 9: Submit the application form and download the acknowledgement slip which was sent via email/SMS.

NOTE: The application form is only submitted officially to the NTA process after payment has been paid.

Acknowledgment Slip & Final Submission

The form will automatically be submitted upon completion of payment. Candidates will receive an acknowledgment slip via email and SMS. Candidates will need to download and retain a copy of the application form and the payment receipt for their records.

JEE Main 2026 Application Form Correction

After the submission of the NTA application form, there is a window that allows candidates to change things in their form. Only certain fields can be edited after the submission of the application form, and you cannot change things after this window closes, including changes to your photo or signature. Check the below steps to to edit the JEE Main application form:

Step 2: Login to the portal with your application number and password.

Step 3: Click on the Application Correction link.

Step 4: Read your form and select what you want to edit.

Step 5: Review, change and adjust accordingly.

Step 6: Click on "Confirm & Save.

Step 7: Download the revised application form for your record.

JEE Mains 2026 Result

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main 2026 Result online on the official website. The JEE Main scorecard includes the candidate’s normalised percentile scores in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, along with the overall percentile score. The JEE Main 2026 cutoff percentile and list of toppers were also released along with the result. All candidates who earn a score that is above the JEE Main cutoff will be forwarded to JEE Advanced.

JEE Main Result 2026 Release New Date

National Testing Agency has released the JEE Main result 2026 . Earlier, the exam result was expected to be announced on February 12, 2026. However, now, the JEE Main exam result 2026 out on February 16, 2026. The agency has not specified any reason for this as of now.

JEE Main 2026 Qualifying Cutoff for JEE Advanced

JEE Main 2026 qualifying cutoff is the minimum percentile required to become eligible for JEE Advanced 2026. It is not a pass or fail score for JEE Main. The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the category-wise cutoff along with the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result.

JEE Main 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should check the eligibility standards before applying to make sure they have satisfied the academic, age, and nationality requirements. The table below contains JEE Main 2026 eligibility criteria:

JEE Main 2026 Exam Pattern

National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the official JEE Main 2026 Exam Pattern for all three papers i.e, Paper 1 (BTech), Paper 2A (BArch), and Paper 2B (BPlan). JEE Main will be held in online (CBT) format, except for the drawing portion of BArch, which will continue to be done offline (pen and paper). Each paper will have a total exam time of 3 hours. JEE Main 2026 Final Answer Key

After reviewing the objections submitted by candidates, NTA released the JEE Main 2026 Final Answer Key. The final key was used to calculate candidates’ scores and prepare the JEE Main 2026 results. No further objections or challenges were accepted against the final answer key.

    JEE Main Analysis 2026

    JEE Main 2026 exam was overall moderate in difficulty. Across the January and April sessions, the paper maintained a fairly balanced distribution of questions, although the difficulty level varied slightly between shifts.

    Overall Analysis of Sessions 1 & 2

    • Session Comparison: The April session was considered slightly more manageable than the January session in some shifts. However, the overall subject-wise pattern remained similar.
    • Toughest Shifts: January 28 Shift 1 and April 6 Shift 1 were among the more challenging shifts, mainly because of lengthy Mathematics questions and conceptual Physics problems.

    JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Dates & Shift Timings

    JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exams will be conducted on April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 for Paper 1 in two shifts:

    • Morning Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
    • Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

    The April 7 exam will be held for Paper 2, and detailed timings will be updated separately.

    • JEE Main 2026 admit card in printout form along with the self-declaration form

    • Original valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, School ID, etc.)
    • PwD certificate (for PwD candidates only)
    • Transparent ballpoint pen

    Do not carry mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, electronic gadgets, or any written/printed material.
    Carrying restricted items may lead to disqualification from the exam.
