Eligible candidates who have fulfilled the NMAT 2026 eligibility criteria can go ahead with the registration procedure using the NMAT by GMAC official website. The registration window will be available between August 20 and October 10, 2026. The candidates will have to register themselves, fill in their personal and educational details, choose their favorite B-schools, upload the photograph, and pay the examination fees. Candidates must pay the applicable NMAT fee to complete the registration process and select their exam slot. The fee varies based on the service selected by the candidate. The NMAT 2026 fee details are given below:

Candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria set for themselves before NMAT registration. The basic eligibility criterion depends on the qualifying degree of the candidate and marks scored. Final year candidates and those who are waiting for the declaration of their degree result are also eligible to apply provided they meet the admission criteria of the B-schools taking part in the NMAT process. NMAT by GMAC exam consists of three segments i.e., Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning. All the three segments have different time limits allotted to them and the candidate is free to attempt any segment in any order he wants. This test consists of 108 questions and takes 120 minutes to complete.

NMAT is a test which depends upon the speed factor and hence candidates have to work on speed and accuracy for its preparation. A proper timetable of study, practice, and mock test can help candidates improve themselves. NMAT 2026 doesn't have one common admission procedure for all the participating B-schools. The first thing that candidates need to do is give the NMAT test and after that apply individually to the institutes where they want to seek admission. There are different admission dates, cutoff marks, eligibility criteria and selection procedures of each of the participating institutes. Depending upon the institutes, their selection procedure may be based on NMAT test score, GD, PI, WAT, or CD.
GMAC will provide NMAT 2026 admit card to those candidates who have successfully registered themselves and made their schedules for appearing in the exam. The admit card is released seven days prior to the exam date. Candidates need to download and take a printout of their admit card and have to carry the same on the day of their exam along with a valid ID proof. The admit card carries information like exam date, time slot, test centre location, and other important instructions.
NMAT 2026 Exam Scheduling
NMAT 2026 registration and exam scheduling are different procedures in the process of application. When registering, students fill in the application form and provide necessary personal, academic and other information. They can choose the B-schools to whom their NMAT score is to be sent. NMAT exam scheduling or NMAT slot booking enables students to choose their desired date, city and time slots for the test. The candidate must finish this procedure within the stipulated period to get their desired slot.
Candidates will be able to check their NMAT 2026 scores right away after appearing in the test. The scorecard for NMAT will be released by GMAC within 48 hours after the completion of the test. Applicants who want to get into any of the participating B-schools through NMAT scores need to apply individually to those B-schools of their choice. Each of the participating institutes has their own procedure of selection, which may be based on various criteria. Some of the B-schools have Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds as part of their selection procedure. The selection procedure may vary from one institute to another where in some cases, there may be a Writing Ability Test (WAT) or Case Discussion (CD) round instead of GD.
Over 50 B-schools in India accept NMAT scores as qualifying criteria for their MBA programs or other management programs. Scores from NMAT are also accepted by several B-schools in countries other than India, such as Nigeria, South Africa, Philippines, Hungary and Morocco. Institute-wise NMAT cutoff may depend upon both overall score as well as sectional score while selecting students.
