IIT Delhi Scholarships 2026

IIT Delhi scholarships and financial help schemes are for both UG and PG students. The scholarships at IIT Delhi are usually granted based on either merit, need, category, or any other combination of these. Students who are eligible for these scholarships may be provided with fee waiver, monthly financial aid, merit scholarship, fellowship, and others. IIT Delhi Hostel Facilities

IIT Delhi has different hostel accommodation for male and female students. IIT Delhi has a total of 17 hostels, of which there are 12 hostels for boys and 5 for girls. Room allocation depends on the hostel and year of education. For example, first year BTech students have three seater rooms, whereas two seater room allocations can also be made. IIT Delhi hostels offer facilities like messing, utilities, recreation areas, Internet facilities, and other basic amenities. Not all students need to opt for hostel accommodation. Students living within a 15 km range of the campus do not get hostel accommodations. IIT Delhi hostel fee includes one-time and recurring charges. Students staying in the newer hostels may also have to pay centralised air-conditioning charges.

IIT Delhi Cutoff 2026

IIT Delhi Cutoff 2026 has been announced by means of JoSAA counselling process for admission to its BTech programmes considering JEE Advanced 2026. According to JoSAA Round 5, BTech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Programme turned out to be the toughest one as it closed at 128 AIR in the Open category, while the BTech Design Programme was closed at 16,295 rank. Other toughest programmes include the Integrated BTech + MTech in CSE Programme at 212, Mathematics and Computing Engineering Programme at 338 and Electrical Engineering Programme at 612. IIT Delhi Examination Process

IIT Delhi exam process takes place as part of the IIT Delhi's semester-based academic process. There will be two examinations in a semester - Mid Sem and End Sem exams, besides assessments specific to each course like assignments, tutorials, labs, projects etc. The examination schedule of IIT Delhi is available for each semester.   • Course Registration: Students register for their courses at the beginning of the semester and complete the required registration formalities.
  • Attend Classes: Students attend lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and other academic activities as prescribed for their courses.
  • Mid-Semester Examination: Students appear for the mid-semester/minor examinations as scheduled in the academic calendar.
  • Continuous Assessment: Depending on the course, students may be evaluated through assignments, tutorials, laboratory work, projects, presentations, and other assessments.
  • End-Semester Examination: Students appear for the end-semester/major examination, which is an important part of the final course evaluation.
  • Project/Viva-Voce: For courses involving projects, students may need to submit project work and appear for a viva-voce.
  • Evaluation and Grading: Marks from the applicable assessment components are considered for the final grade. IIT Delhi follows its prescribed grading rules, including grades such as A, B, C, D, E and F, depending on the applicable academic regulations.
  • Result Declaration: After evaluation and moderation, the final grades are submitted and students can check their academic results through the institute's prescribed system.
