IIT Delhi campus has an area of around 320 acres located in Hauz Khas, New Delhi. The large campus offers facilities to the students for academic purposes, research, living, sports, healthcare and recreational activities. It has air conditioned lecture theatres, state of the art laboratories, 24 hours central library, fast Internet Wi-Fi and LAN facilities, hostels, sports centers, health care facilities, banks and shops. IIT Delhi has different hostel accommodation for male and female students. IIT Delhi has a total of 17 hostels, of which there are 12 hostels for boys and 5 for girls. Room allocation depends on the hostel and year of education. For example, first year BTech students have three seater rooms, whereas two seater room allocations can also be made. IIT Delhi hostels offer facilities like messing, utilities, recreation areas, Internet facilities, and other basic amenities. Not all students need to opt for hostel accommodation. Students living within a 15 km range of the campus do not get hostel accommodations. IIT Delhi hostel fee includes one-time and recurring charges. Students staying in the newer hostels may also have to pay centralised air-conditioning charges.

IIT Delhi Cutoff 2026 has been announced by means of JoSAA counselling process for admission to its BTech programmes considering JEE Advanced 2026. According to JoSAA Round 5, BTech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Programme turned out to be the toughest one as it closed at 128 AIR in the Open category, while the BTech Design Programme was closed at 16,295 rank. Other toughest programmes include the Integrated BTech + MTech in CSE Programme at 212, Mathematics and Computing Engineering Programme at 338 and Electrical Engineering Programme at 612.
