CLAT Exam Date 2026 Out, Check Complete Schedule

Consortium of National Law Universities has announced the CLAT exam date 2026 online. As per the CLAT 2026 schedule, the exam will be held on Sunday, 07 December, 2025 for both UG and PG courses. Recently, the consortium released the CLAT admit card 2026 on the official website. Candidates have to download the hall ticket and take it to the exam hall.

CLAT 2026 will consist of several events ,and the dates of each have been released online. Candidates can go through the section below to know complete details of the same.

CLAT 2026 Application Form Date

Consortium opened CLAT 2026 registration on August 1, 2025. The application form was available on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The same form is used for both the 5-year integrated law program and the 1-year LLM program.

The candidates needed to pass Class 12 with at least 45% marks for the 5-year LLB course. 

For the LLM program, applicants are required to complete a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree with a minimum of 50% marks. SC/ST candidates received relaxation in the minimum marks criteria.

The CLAT 2026 application fee was INR 4,000 for general candidates and INR 3,500 for SC/ST candidates.

CLAT 2026 Admit Card Date

Consortium has released the CLAT 2026 admit card. Only candidates who submitted the application form correctly could download their hall ticket. Candidates can download the CLAT admit card 2026 using the candidate’s registered mobile number and password.

The hall ticket mentions the candidate’s name, date of birth, roll number, exam date, exam time, and allotted centre. The admit card is a mandatory document and must be carried to the test centre for entry.

CLAT 2026 Exam Date

CLAT 2026 exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode across 139 exam centres in India. The UG question paper will contain 120 passage-based MCQs from English Language, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Current Affairs, including GK, and Quantitative Techniques. The CLAT 2026 exam is scheduled to be held on December 07, 2025 in a single shift. 

CLAT 2026 Answer Key

Consortium will announce the CLAT 2026 answer key release date soon. The authorities will first release the provisional answer key. Candidates can use these to compare their marked responses with the official answers. 

One can also use the CLAT answer key objection link to challenge answers which have an error or are wrong. The consortium will go through all the objections and then re-release the CLAT final answer key 2026. 

CLAT 2026 Result

The Consortium will declare the CLAT result based on the final answer key. Candidates can download their scorecard from the official website using their application number and password or date of birth.

CLAT 2026 scorecard will display the candidate’s name, roll number, application number, category, and total score. It will also include section-wise scores, qualifying status, All India Rank (AIR), and category rank.

CLAT 2026 Counselling

CLAT counselling is the final step in the admission process. All qualified candidates can participate in the online counselling and seat allotment process. The seats for final admission are allotted in NLUs based on merit and candidate preferences.

The counselling process includes:

• Registration

• Seat allotment and acceptance

• Completion of admission formalities

CLAT 2026 exam will be held on December 07, 2025. The consortium has already released the event wise timings that everyone has to follow on the exam day.

Candidates who qualify in the CLAT exam can take part in the CLAT counselling process to get admission into their preferred NLUs. The counselling and seat allotment will be conducted online. The Consortium of NLUs will release a separate notification with the detailed CLAT counselling dates and schedule. Candidates must keep checking the official website so they don’t miss any important deadlines.

A merit list will be prepared based on the CLAT scores. Shortlisted candidates will then be able to view the seat allotment result. Those who get a seat can either accept the allotted NLU or choose the upgrade option if they wish to try for a better preference.

The authorities will announce the CLAT 2026 counselling dates soon after the results are out.
