NIT Goa scholarship is offered to students who fall under the categories of SC/ST/PwD, and they will receive a 100% tuition fee waiver, irrespective of their annual income. Step 1: Attendance Requirements

In order to qualify for the end of semester exam, students must attend at least 75% of classes in every course they are enrolled in. If a student does not attend enough classes to meet this standard, then he/she will be given a "W" grade and will lose the opportunity to take the exam for the particular class. However, there are other factors that determine whether or not a student receives a "W" grade depending upon what the institute's policy is regarding class attendance.

Step 2: Internal Assessment

In addition to the final exam, the course will include several internal evaluations (tests, assignments, quizzes, etc.) that will be conducted during the semester. Internal assessments of laboratory courses will be based on the applicable departmental guidelines of NIT Goa. Internal assessments of lecture-based courses carry 25% weightage.

Step 3: Semester Examinations

In lecture-based courses, there are two major exams: mid-semester exams and end-semester exams.
