SASTRA University Online provides courses that can be studied online. The lectures, notes, assignments and exams are all done using the online Learning Management System. However, you are able to visit the campus if needed. The main campus is located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. SASTRA University campus can be accessed by road, train or air:

• By Road: The campus can be found on the Trichy-Tanjore Road in Thirumalaisamudram, Thanjavur. You can get there by bus. Taxi or private car.
• Train: By train you can get down at Thanjavur Railroad Station and then take a bus or taxi.
• By Air: The nearest international airport is Tiruchirappalli. You can visit by taxi or other road transport.

Chennai Office: There is also an office in Chennai. This can be found at 21, Ave Meiyappan Road, Kannika Puram, Vadapalani, Chennai – 600026.

Steps to SASTRA University Online examination process:

• Continuous Evaluation System: The student’s performance will be assessed continuously, considering the components of assessment proposed during the semester.
• Internal Assessments: The internal assessments consist of online assignments, quizzes, case studies, discussions, and project work for evaluation.
• End-Term Examination: The end-term examination is conducted at the end of each semester, where students are assessed based on their understanding of the subject.
• Online Proctored Mode: The examinations will be conducted online in proctored mode, where students can take the tests online from their respective locations.
• Result & Grading Process: The final result will be calculated based on marks obtained in internal assessment and end-term examination. Results and grades are available to view online through the student portal.

SASTRA University Online provides UGC entitled degrees, which students can use to apply for jobs in the government and private sectors. Students can also use the degrees to go on to further study either in India or overseas. This will depend on the eligibility criteria set by the employer/ institution. SASTRA Online provides two certificates. An Equivalence Certificate, to show that the online degree is equivalent to the offline degree. And a Degree Certificate, which is issued by the university.
