The exam pattern includes 3 sections: Language, Domain Subjects, and General Aptitude Test with 50 questions in each paper.
The expected overall difficulty level of CUET UG 2026 is likely to remain easy to moderate across most shifts.

The National Testing Agency will conduct the CUET UG exam 2026 from May 11, 2026, to May 31, 2026, in two shifts. The CUET UG admit card has been released online on the official website. CUET UG 2026 exam pattern consists of three distinct sections, which include Language, Domain Subjects, and the General Test. The CUET exam covers 13 language options, 23 domain subjects, and one General Aptitude Test. As per the provided pattern, each subject paper will have a duration of 60 minutes. CUET UG 2026 exam analysis helps students get an idea of the overall difficulty level, important topics, question trends and student reactions for the various subjects asked in the examination. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting CUET UG 2026 exam in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from May 11 to May 31, 2026 for admission in undergraduate programmes across the country in the participating universities.
The test is conducted for 23 domain subjects, 13 languages papers and General Aptitude Test (GAT). The majority of papers were easy to moderate in difficulty level based on feedback from students and reviews by experts. A few sections in the General Test and Accountancy were slightly lengthy and concept-based. Some direct NCERT-based and formula based questions were asked from subjects like English, Chemistry, Geography, Political Science and Mathematics.

Based on previous year trends and student feedback patterns, the overall difficulty level of CUET UG 2026 is expected to remain easy to moderate across most shifts. However, some sections may appear lengthy because of comprehension passages, reasoning sets, or numerical calculations. The actual difficulty level may vary slightly depending on the shift and subject combination.

CUET UG previous year analysis shows that the overall exam difficulty level remained easy to moderate across most shifts and subjects. The language section was largely comprehension-based and lengthy, while domain subjects focused heavily on NCERT concepts and application-based questions. The General Test section tested candidates on quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, current affairs, and general knowledge, making time management extremely important.
In previous years, students reported that:
English papers had high weightage for reading comprehension and vocabulary.
Science domain subjects included conceptual and NCERT line-based questions.
Commerce subjects featured theory as well as numerical questions.
Humanities papers were mostly factual and statement-based.
Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude require strong speed and accuracy.
