JoSAA 2026 Dates:  Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the JoSAA Counselling 2026 dates on its official website, josaa.nic.in. The JoSAA Round 5, which is the final round of seat allotment, has been released. JoSAA counselling process is conducted in multiple rounds, with each round including seat allotment, seat acceptance and confirmation, online reporting, document verification, and fee payment. After the completion of all JoSAA rounds, the remaining vacant seats are filled through the CSAB Counselling 2026. As per the recent JoSAA counselling updates and last year trends, JoSAA 2026 application form submission and choice filling process is likely to start from June 2, 2026. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) declares the results of seat allotment individually for every round on the official website. To know the allotment of seats, candidates need to login using their JEE Main 2026 Application number and Password. The seat allotment procedure is performed considering the rank of the candidate in JEE Main or JEE Advanced exam, category of the candidate, choices filled by the candidates and seat availability.

Once a seat is allotted, candidates will have to download the Initial Seat Allotment Intimation Slip showing all information regarding allotment of the institute, course and category.  It is important to note that JoSAA does not send individual seat allotment notifications. How to Check JoSAA Seat Allotment Result 2026

Candidates can follow the steps below to check the JoSAA 2026 seat allotment result online:

• Check the allotted institute and branch details
• Download and save the seat allotment result for future reference

After seat allocation, it is mandatory for the candidates to upload their respective documents on the official website of JoSAA. During the document verification process, if the reporting officer asks any question related to their uploaded documents, then the candidates need to answer within the stipulated time period by uploading appropriate documents and providing proper explanation for the same. In case of failure, there is a chance that their allotted seats may be cancelled.

JoSAA registration 2026 is likely to commence one day after the declaration of the results of JEE Advanced 2026. Candidates should carefully verify all details before final submission because incorrect information may affect the counselling and admission process.

JoSAA 2026 registration and choice filling process will start together on the official counselling portal. After registration, candidates will be able to make their choices and order them as per their preference. The choices made by the candidates can be edited, modified, and arranged by the candidates until the closing of the choice-filling date.

After being satisfied with the selection, candidates must save and lock their choices. In case the candidates do not save their choices manually, their last saved choices will be locked automatically. Once the choice locking process is complete, candidates won’t be able to change their choices.

Candidates allotted seats must pay the seat acceptance fee online within the reporting deadline.

Failure to pay the fee within the deadline may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
