The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result download link has been released on April 20, 2026, on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in and jeemain.nta.ac.in. The result, which was earlier delayed due to administrative reasons, is now available for candidates to access. Students are advised to regularly check the official portals to download their IIT JEE Main 2026 result. The scorecard includes important details such as candidate information, marks obtained, percentile, and other exam-related information.

Candidates can check their JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result on DigiLocker once released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The digital scorecard will be available under issued documents, allowing easy access anytime. Students should also keep visiting the jeemain.nta.nic.in result link for official confirmation and live updates, as the result may be published on both platforms simultaneously. It is advisable to download and save the scorecard for future admission and counselling purposes.

• Log in using your registered mobile number or Aadhaar
• Enter the OTP to access your account
• Go to the “Issued Documents” section
• Search for NTA or JEE Main 2026
• Click on the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result
• Download and save the scorecard for future use

JEE Main 2026 cutoff determines eligibility for the JEE Advance exam for IIT admissions. It is the minimum percentile required to qualify. The NTA releases the official cutoff with the final result in April. Session 1 scorecards do not show the cutoff status. 

However, experts predict the 2026 cutoff based on paper difficulty. The number of test-takers influences this figure significantly. In 2026, the registration number increases approximately 1.5 lakhs. This pushes the cutoff higher than the JEE Mains Cutoff 2025.

The NTA does not allow rechecking of the JEE Main 2026 Result. The machine-based grading is final and accurate. Candidates may challenge the provisional JEE Main answer key 2026. No objections regarding JEE Main Scores are accepted after this period. 

The NTA  can cancel the JEE Main result 2026 in specific cases: 

• The result is cancelled if a candidate uses Unfair Means Practices.

• Scores will not be declared for candidates caught cheating.

• Appearing from an unallotted exam centre leads to result cancellation.

•  Allowing another person to write the exam results in cancellation.

• Appearing in a single session more than once cancels the candidature.

• Such candidates are debarred under the relevant UFM clause

The NTA uses the final NTA score to determine ALL India Rank (AIR). The score becomes available after the JEE Main 2026 session 2 results distribution. Your JEE Main 2026 Rank List position improves as your percentile score increases. Students receive ranking positions which display their best performance results in descending order.

Tie-Breaking in JEE Main 2026 

NTA needs to implement tie-breaking rules when two students achieve identical total percentiles. The system now removes both age and application number as determining factors.

Candidates who tie in all evaluation procedures will receive identical ranking results. The JEE Main 2026 Result maintains its fairness through this method of determining candidate ties. Your final AIR score determines your eligibility to participate in JEE Main 2026 counselling through JoSAA or CSAB.

After the results, students must choose their next step for admissions. Students have the option to register for JoSAA counselling or multiple state-level admission processes. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority handles the admission process for all central institutions which includes all IITs NITs IIITs and GFTIs. To gain admission to IITs students must present their JEE Advanced ranking which serves as the required entry credential. The NITs and IIITs base their seating distribution on the JEE Main 2026 ranks. 

State Level Counselling via JEE Main

JEE Main 2026 scores function as the admission requirement for multiple states which operate their own engineering institutions. The applicants need to complete separate registration processes on the state portals to access these specific seats.

A vast network of colleges accepts the JEE Main result 2026. This includes premier government institutes and top private universities. These colleges offer seats through JEE Main JoSAA counselling or state-level processes.
